Sixth summit of Cooperation Council of Turkic states kicks off in Kyrgyzstan - UPDATED

President Aliyev attends official reception in honor of heads of member states of Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States

President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Jeenbekov has hosted an official reception in honor of heads of state of the member countries of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States in the city of Cholpon-Ata.

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the reception.

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has handed over chairmanship of the Cooperation Council of Turkic States to President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov.

President Nazarbayev wished big success to President Jeenbekov in chairmanship of the Cooperation Council.

The President of Kyrgyzstan in turn welcomed participants of the summit and thanked Kazakhstan for a big contribution into development of the Cooperation Council of Turkic States.

Nazarbayev and Jeenbekov welcomed President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban, who are participating in the summit as guests of honor.

The sixth summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic States has started in Rukh Ordo Cultural Center in Cholpon-Ata today.

President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbai Jeenbekov, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan are participating in the summit.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban are participating in the event as guests of honor.

Joint documents will be signed at the summit.

Kyrgyzstan is presiding at the summit of the Cooperation Council of Turkic States.
